Free For All Friday Comparison: BBW Signature Lemon Vanilla v.s. VS Lemon Escape

Lindsay here, doing a comparison of the discontinued Lemon Vanilla from BBW, and new Lemon Escape from Victoria's Secret Fantasies collection. I was never really a fan of VS until just recently but I have to say that some of their stuff is really nice.

Photo credit: Bath & Body Works

The notes in Lemon Vanilla are the following:

Top Notes: Burst of Fresh Lemon, Sparkling Citron, Juicy Orange, Iced Bergamot, Zesty Mandarin
Middle Notes: Purple Vanilla Orchid, Freesia, Yellow Jasmine
Base Notes: Pink Cotton Candy Accord, Creamy White Woods, Whipped Vanilla, Sugared Musks

(taken from amazon.com)

From the bottle I smell mostly lemon and a tad bit of vanilla. But after it dries on my skin, it goes musky and loses all of it's fruitiness. When I put it on at home, I was told by my brother that I smelled like a french prostitute! So clearly this scent was not meant for me.

Lemon Escape:

Being that they are known more for their lingerie than their fragrance line, most of their scents are on the simple side. The only two notes mentioned by the company are lemon sugar and coconut. Straight from the bottle it kind of reminds me of fruity pebbles to be honest (in a good way). It's very sweet and very lemony. After it settles, the sugar diminishes and the coconut comes through a little bit.

Personally, I prefer Lemon Escape which I would score a 9/10. I am really let down by how poorly Lemon Vanilla smells on me and I would have to give it a 4/10.

Lemon escape is most definitely a must have summer fragrance and if you haven't tried it, I sincerely encourage you to. It is still available at Victoria's Secret stores and online.

Until next time,
Lindsay

Eva's Summer Loves: Coconut Lime Breeze

Good morning everyone! Eva here, with the second installment to my top five summer series. Today's chosen fragrance is Coconut Lime Breeze.

So I don't know about you, but over here in the northeast it has taken a little while to warm up for summer. I was a bit sad because I felt like I could break this one out until it actually felt like summer. To me, while I am quite liberal with most of the other fragrances I wear, this is definitely summer specific.

To start, let's talk about the notes:

  • Top Notes: Sparkling Tangerine, Lemon Italy Orpur, Neroli, Bergamot Italia Orpur, Zesty Lime Juice
  • Mid Notes: Watery Melon notes, Sheer Muget, Pineapple Juice, Jasmine Petals, Lime Blossom
  • Dry Notes: Sheer Coconut Water, Sandalwood, Musk, Madagascar Vanilla

From the bottle, it's pretty self explanatory. You definitely get a lot of the coconut and most definitely the tangy kick of the lime and the other citrus notes. I don't smell any of the floral either in the bottle or on my skin, but I do smell a faint hint of the vanilla and the bergamot, which gives the fragrance a fullness that I feel Coconut Lime Verbena did not have (but I'll save that discussion for a later time...)

This scent is pretty straightforward on me and smells exactly as you'd expect it to. I pick up a decent amount of the coconut but a lot of the various citrus. I definitely pick up some of the vanilla too, but not so much the spicy kick of the bergamot and none of the floral (and for those of you who forgot, "muguet" is "lily of the valley". Lilies reminds me of funeral homes. Or Lily Potter, but I don't know what she smelled like).

Overall, I really feel this is a staple in my summer fragrance wardrobe. I admit that I don't reach for this as often as I should, but when I do, I feel very beachy! I give this fragrance a 7/10. If you're looking for a new summer fragrance, go give this on a whiff! It is available both online and in stores now.

Have an awesome summer, everyone,

Eva.

First Impressions: Summer Chill Collection

Hey all! I was in Bath and Body Works yet again and spotted the lotion testers of the Summer Chill collection!

Coconut Water Chill is very fresh and not incredibly coconutty. Anyone remember Coconut Lime Verbena? It's pretty close to that as opposed to Coconut Lime Breeze, which is very heavy on the coconut. I think if CLV and White Citrus had a baby, it would be Coconut Water Chill.

Citrus Orchid Chill was suprising. It reminds me a lot of Wild Citrus Sunflower  from the Wild Garden collection.

White Mango Chill was a shocker too! The description on the back said mango, kiwi and strawberry but all I pick up was kiwi and strawberry! Considering I really dislike mango, this pleased me. It might not be enough to make me purchase it but it was definitely a pleasant suprise.

The Summer Chill collection launches on July 8th! Have you smelled any of these scents yet?

Eva.

Lindsay's Top Five Summer Favorites: Sweet on Paris

So today I'll be posting a review for Sweet on Paris!

This scent came out last year in the Paris collection last summer, but unfortunately did not make a return this year (Boo!). I was actually surprised that I didn't even see it for the semi-annual sale. If you like sweet scents, this one is absolutely perfect. The notes are:

Top Notes: Sparkling Tangerine, Raspberry Kir, Luscious Blackberry, Lemon Meringue

Mid Notes: Jasmine, Macaroon, Apricot, Pink Peony, Juicy Nectarine

Dry Notes: Sugared Musk, Pink Marshmallow, Creamy Sandalwood, Vanilla Infusion

Straight from the bottle I pick up the blackberry, lemon and vanilla, but after it dries I smell macaroon, marshmallow and vanilla!

One of the reviewers at BBW's website said the new Sugar Berry Smash is similar to SOP and I'm hoping they are correct.

This would have to be my favorite scent for spring and summer, but I also think it could be worn all year round due to it's savoriness. I would give it a 10/10!

Until next time,
Lindsay

Wishlist Wednesday!

Hola everyone! Every Wednesday from here on out, we're going to let you in on some products we have our eyes on. It might be stuff that's already out, or coming out in the near future!

Eva:

I've got my eyes on a few PINK body mists from Victoria's Secret (Fresh & Clean, Sweet & Flirty, few others). I did these fragrances are very neutral and clean, and work approriate for my job. I guess for the record I'll tell you I won at my local Yankee Candle, so I can't wear anythig super fruity or in your face. I've been loving PINK Summer Daze for work because it doesn't take away from the fragrance of the products.

I'm also excited for some of the new Victoria's Secret Fantasies scents from the Beach Dreams collection, but that isn't available in store yet. Also, excited to see te new BBW collections that will be coming out July 8th (info on all that here)

Lindsay:
I am excited for the new signature fall scents at BBW. Eva and I compared
notes in Napa Blackberry and Caramel Aspen Woods to Sparkling
Blackberry Woods and Dreamy Vanilla Woods, and they seem to be
pretty similar but we'll see. I'm sincerely hoping not, considering I didn't
like either scent. But I am excited for Vermont Honey Apple and hoping it
might be Warm Harvest Apple (part of the line two years ago) renamed.

Deal Alert: $6 Fine Fragrance Mist Today only!

Hey all! Wanted to let you know that all Fine Fragrance Mists are on sale for $6 today only (6/26), normal price $14.

The in store code is 9362, no code necessary online!

Happy shopping,

Eva.

Home Fragrance Monday: Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin

Happy Home Fragrance Monday, everyone! So every Monday Eva or I will be doing a review for a home frangrance, whether it be candles, wallflowers, car portables or something else offered by Bath & Body Works.

Photo: Bath & Body Works

This week I have chosen Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin! I know it's a little early for fall, but I love this scent all year round. After falling in love with the signature line fragrance by the same name, I decided to try it in the wallflower and it is equally as delicious. Next to Apple Crumble, it is probably my favorite fall wall flower scent.

The notes include: pumpkin puree, sweet butter, and vanilla cream. This differs from the body fragrance in the signature line which includes: freshly-sliced pumpkin, crisp apple, and spiced vanilla.

So as you can see, the notes are different, but the only noticable difference I detect is that the wallflower is a bit more spicy.

Overall, the quality is really good. I find the lasting power is awesome and one bulb usually lasts me between a month to two months. I have tried their other pumpkin-themed scents (ie: pumpkin caramel latte), but I would have to say SCP is much better.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin isn't available right now, but it has been confirmed that it will be returning this coming fall. The fall home fragrances are going to launch in early to mid August.

I would rate it a 9/10 and recommend it highly!

-Lindsay

The Sunday Haul!

Hello all! So on Sundays Lindsay and I will post what we bought that is body/fragrance related. It may not necessarily be from BBW, but we will try our best to keep you entertained regardless.

Eva:

I ended up picking up a few things at the Semi-Annual Sale at BBW this week, including:

- Two car portable holders, this one that I have named Pingo and another that I can't find online :( It's a blue bird with a purple and white plaid bow.

- Three car portable scent refills; two in Wild Apple and one in Pinecone. Unfortunately, neither of these two are up online so check in stores!

- A deep cleansing soap cover that matches a candle holder I have. This isn't available online either, but it was a brushed steel with birds and flowers. Check for this one in store too because both the candle holder and the soap cover are on sale!

This super cute cosmetic bag trio that came out with the Italy collection. High quality and very nice. On sale now too!

Then I grabbed a few PINK fragrances from Victoria's Secret. On sale (all the time I think) 2/$25 or 3/$30:

PINK Pretty & Pure Body Mist

PINK Sun Kissed Body Mist

PINK Warm & Cozy Body Mist

Lindsay:

I got a few things from the Victoria's Secret Fantasies line, which were on sale 3/$25 or 5/$30:

Love Spell Hydrating Body Lotion

Pure Seduction Hydrating Body Lotion

Pure Seduction Body Mist

Vanilla Lace Hydrating Body Lotion

Amber Romance Hydrating Body Lotion

If you want reviews on anything, leave a note in the comments!

Have a great week, everyone!

Free-For-All Friday: Fragrance Fail Edition

Howdy y'all! It's Eva (again), introducing our Friday series called "Free-For-All Friday". What we post on FFAF is going to depend on what Lindsay or I feel like posting that week. Sometimes it might be a comparison review of two or three fragrances, sometimes it might be a fragrance review from a company other than Bath & Body Works, and sometimes (like today) it might be a Fragrance Fail.

For this week's Free-For-All Friday, I'm going to review a fragrance that didn't quite work out for me.

The fragrance in question? Victoria's Secret Sky Bright from the Brights collection.

Credit: victoriassecret.com

Let's get one thing straight for the record; I am NOT bashing Victoria's Secret or their fragrances (because there are quite a few I love...Love Spell or Lemon Escape, anyone?) or even this fragrance. Just telling you that the fragrance didn't work out in my favor. And here's why.

From the VS website: "Get Flirty in Sky Bright, a sunny blend of crisp apple and vibrant poppy".

Straight from the bottle, I really liked the fragrance. The apple is more of a clean "crisp" apple, not entirely clinical, but not at all like a warmer apple note that would be paired with honey or musk. And the poppy is most definitely there too, but is not overwhelming. Liking how it smelled in the bottle very much, I bought this fragrance in a body mist, body lotion, and the combination body wash/scrub. Happily ever after?

I think not.

I hadn't tried out the lotion or the body wash, just the body mist. I put it on one morning before school but quickly realized that I couldn't leave the house smelling like that. I don't know what happened to all the apple from the fragrance but it most definitely did not make it to my skin. Instead, I was left with strictly all the poppy from Sky Bright, only it turned very, very sour on me. So sour, it was like the floral arrangement that the late-for-anniversary-dinner-my-wife-is-going-to-kill-me-guy bought at the last minute and had neglected to smell first. Which is exactly what I forgot to do. I didn't try it before I bought it and ended up spending $25 on a fragrance that did me wrong. It isn't a total loss because I am going to gift it to a friend who will probably smell much better in this scent than I do!

The thing with fragrance that took me a long time to learn is that the way a fragrance smells in the bottle is not always how it will smell on you. Your body chemistry and natural scent mixes in with the elements of the fragrance you are wearing and can either compliment you...or make you smell like a dying sea monster. I was surprised that Sky Bright didn't pick up well on me (shocked, really) because absolutely anything with any kind of apple note (apple, apple blossoms, apple whatever) pick up on me extremely well. Why this one didn't, the world may never know.

This sounds like common sense to me now (and probably most of you) but I don't always follow that rule and end up making mistakes. It's okay to make mistakes though. That's how we learn. And sometimes, we just need a gentle reminder.

Overall, in the bottle, I give this fragrance a 6 out of 10. It's crisp, clean and fresh without making you smell like a fresh load of laundry or a funerary arrangement. I recommend that you go and give it a sniff  if you happen to like scents along the line of fresh and slightly fruity. Sky Bright is still available at Victoria's Secret stores and here.

Until next time, my friends,

Eva.

First Impressions: Summer Lovin' Collection

(Updated on 6/26: this collection has since been renamed or the true name has been revealed to be the Summer Twist collection).

Hello there! I decided to stop in Bath and Body Works today when I heard about the Fresh Picked sale (I already have Fresh Picked Pear in the shower gel and lotion, nothing else from the line thrilled me). As I was perusing the sales bins (again) I spotted up at the register the three new Summer Lovin' fragrances in lotion form!

To tell you the truth, I wasn't impressed.

Mango Melon Twist smelled straight up like mango and cantaloupe. No floral undertones, no musk or anything to give it more depth or complexity. I really found this one offensive because I really dislike the smell of mango.

Plum Lily Swirl was definitely unexpected but not in the best way. Would you imagine a fragrance with "plum" and "lily" in the name to smell like Clean Cotton? Me neither. I got absolutely no hint of the plum or any kind of fruit, but the lily did come through a little bit. For the most part, though, it smelled like clean laundry. Que bizarre bizarre indeed.

Sugar Berry Smash was really nice though, but is very very close to Be Enchanted. However, Be Enchanted is definitely muskier. I think SBS is in the same family as Venice Dolce Berry and maybe even Sweet on Paris, with the darker berry notes but something very candy like on top, making it a much lighter fragrance overall.

I only got to smell the lotions though, so those aren't my final thoughts. I will definitely have a better idea when i smell the fragrance itself. The collection launches on July 8th, after the Semi-Annual Sale is over, as confirmed by an employee at the store.

If you get a chance to smell the lotions (or even the fine fragrance mist) before it launches, let me know what you think of them in the comments.

Eva.

Sale Alert: $5 Fresh Picked Body Care!

Hey all! For today only, all body care in the Fresh Picked line is $5! If you shop online, you don't need a code. If you go to get it in stores, the code is 9336.

Happy shopping!

Eva.

Eva's Summer Loves: Capri Seaside Citrus

Happy Thursday, everyone! Like Lindsay, I'll be doing a top five scents of summer series for you all. Mine aren't going to be in any particular order, because I seem to wear them equally! The first on this list is a scent from the Italy collection called Capri Seaside Citrus.

Let's start off with the official description from BBW's website:

"Lavishly spray on our sunny seaside fragrance and radiate this sparkling blend of fresh citrus, juicy nectarine and orange flower.

Top Notes: Mediterranean Grapefruit, Sparkling Bergamot, Juicy Nectarine
Mid Notes: Muguet, Orange Flower, Coconut
Dry Notes: Amber Driftwood, Creamy Musks, Whipped Vanilla"

So at first sniff, straight from the bottle, I pick up a bit of the saltiness you'd associate with it being a "seaside" inspired fragrance. It's most definitely citrus-y, but I don't pick up on any of the musk or amber when it's in the bottle. I don't get any of the muguet either (which for those of you like me who had to go ask google what the heck it was, translates to "lily of the valley". Very fancy, BBW, very fancy indeed). However, I definitely can smell the spicy kick from the bergamot right off the bat.

After it settles on my skin, it mixes wonderfully. I hold onto most of the fruity notes - namely the nectarine and grapefruit. I get a bit of the floral in there too, which I'm going to safely say is the orange flower and not the muguet. (I don't love the smell of lilies because they smell like a funeral home. Just my personal taste). Strangely, the spiciness of the bergamot doesn't stick on me but I definitely get some of the vanilla and a little bit of the musk, which is funny considering I can't smell it straight from the bottle. Fragrance is a fickle thing!

I really love this scent for spring and summer. It's light, beachy and not at all overwhelming like some fruity or citrus-y summer scents can be. I have Capri Seaside Citrus in a fine fragrance mist, shower gel, body lotion and super fruit body scrub. Capri Seaside Citrus went on sale at the beginning of the Semi-Annual Sale, so if you're interested in going and giving it a sniff for yourself, I'd high tail it to your local Bath & Body Works. Otherwise, there is a fair amount of it still available online!

I hope you enjoyed this review! Stick around for more reviews on Lindsay's and my top picks for summer!

Lindsay's Top Five Summer Favorites: Forever Sunshine

So I've decided to start a new segment about my favorite five Signature summer scents. Every Tuesday I will post a review for one scent. Considering I'm more of a fall/winter scent girl, there wasn't much competition. Coming in at number five is Forever Sunshine.

Two years ago, I took my ten year old step sister to the mall while my dad went on a date with my soon to be step mother. Bath and Body Works, of course, was one of our stops. On a whim I decided to try Forever Sunshine and fell in love.

The notes include the following: juicy tangerine, golden apricot, sparkling mandarin, exotic berries (top), gardenia petals, freesia, pink peonies (middle), and vanilla bean gelato, creamy sandalwood, nuzzly musks, a touch of sweet praline (bottom.)

Every scent, of course, picks up differently on everyone, but on me I catch mostly apricots, peony, and sandalwood, making it the perfect mix of sweet and floral! Just recently when I was over my dad's house, I looked in the shower for body wash because there was no hand soap. Five guesses as to what I found.

In my closet I have 3 fine fragrance mists, 2 body lotions and 5 shower gels. Not enough in my opinion, but I have been called a hoarder before. If I had to rate it, I would give it a 9/10! It is a little bit citrusy, but not over-whelming. Overall I wouldn't change a thing about it.

On another note it was discontinued as of last year, unfortunately, but is still available online. I hope if you haven't given it a try you will purchase it from the Bath and Body Works official website.

Until next time,

Lindz

Eva's Story Corner: Sales Make People Do Scary Things

Scary, scary things indeed. And I'm not just talking about your garden variety sale nuts that will sell thier firstborn child to get thier hands on the last bottle of Cherry Blossom lotion you have in your hands (Yes, this happened, but that's not what this story is about. Although by the look that woman was giving me, I thought the flesh was going to melt off my face. Just put the bottle down and back away slowly).

Anyway, here I was, shopping the Semi-Annual Sale, scouring the boxes in vain  thinking I might magically find a bottle of Lemon Vanilla shower gel but alas, to no avail.

(Hey, you never know what you'll find. That's how I found the last tube of Capri Seaside Citrus super fruit body scrub. I saw photos of hauls where someone found a Cinnamon Sugared Donut 3-Wick Candle and another who found Sweet on Paris shower gel. You go, Glen Coco!)

But that particular day, I felt defeated and believed that it would be a shame to walk out empty handed.

So I went and looked at scents I never paid much attention to. And the pretty packaging of Rome Honeysuckle Amore caught my eye. It smelled alright in the bottle and it was on sale, so why not? My inner shopaholic was egging me on like the Green Scarf from that Isla Fischer movie. So I sprayed it on my wrist and la-dee-dah'd around the store for a while.

And then I sniffed my wrist.

That was when my common sense put on her sassy hat and told me I smelled like a dying sea monster from hell. And I'm not even going to try to argue against her, because she was pretty spot on. Never has a scent smelled so horrible on me (aside from Victoria's Secret Sky Bright, so maybe I'll do a review on that in the future...)

Yeah, moral of the story? Just because something is on sale does not mean you need it. And just because it is cheaper does not mean it will smell any better. Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't buy it at full price, don't buy it when it's on sale.

You will still smell like a dying sea monster, no matter how cheap it is.

- Eva.

Sale Alert! $9 3-Wick Candles!

Hey all! Today only, in stores and online, you can get 3-wick candles for $9! This is a great deal because previously in the Semi-Annual Sale, they were $11 a piece! That's an extra two dollars off! Bonus!

Happy shopping,

Eva.

Introducing Lindsay!

This is Lindsay, just thought I should tell you guys a little bit about myself.

What is your favorite type of fragrance?

Sweet/Ambery. My goal in life is to smell like a bakery.

What type of fragrances do you dislike?

Floral and fresh

What is your favorite current BBW signature fragrance?

It changes on a weekly basis, but lately I've been wearing lovelovelove and Wild Berry Tulips (The only two exceptions to my previous statement.)

What is your favorite limited edition or discontinued BBW fragrance?

Probably lovelovelove. I am sincerely hoping that Plum Lily Swirl is a close alternative.

What is your favorite BBW signature body product?

The fine fragrance mists or the body lotions.

What is your least favorite BBW signature fragrance?

I don't like Moonlight Path or Paris Amour at all. I do not personally think any woman under the age of 60 should wear MP at all unless they enjoy smelling like an old woman.

What is your least favorite BBW signature body product?

The triple body creams are a little too thick for my liking and leave me feeling like a grease ball.

Are there any BBW products/fragrances you haven't tried but want to, and if so, which ones?

Not really. There are scents I wish I could pull off, but that's another story.

Any scents you used to love but now dislike?

I used to love Sun Ripened Raspberry and Winter Candy Apple. My high school band teacher kind of ruined WCA for me when he told me I smelled like bubble gum... And as for SRR, my taste simply changed over the years.

Any scents you used to dislike but now love?

From BBW, no, but I have been getting more into Victorias Secret lately and Midnight Dare is one of my new favorite scents!

Is there a BBW fragrance you wish you could wear, but can't because it mixes with your body chemistry wrong

Ughhh yes. Forever Red. I bought Eva the Eau De Parfum for Christmas and absolutely love it on her, but when I wear it I only pick up the peach :( And unfortunately peach and mango are two fruits that I cannot deal with.

If you could have BBW bring back one fragrance and make it permanent, what would it be?

Either Warm Harvest Apple or lovelovelove. I would say Forever Sunshine, but it is still available online whereas the other two aren't.

What has been your favorite BBW collection recently?

Definitely the Wild Gardens. I enjoy Sweet on Paris and Venice Dolce Berry, but the rest of the two collections were really disappointing.

Has there been a BBW collection recently that disappointed you?

The Sweetheart and the Italy collection. The sweetheart collections were just scents previously done and renamed. Nothing new or original. Although I love VDB, Rome Honeysuckle is just plain out offensive and Seaside Citrus is too salty for my liking.

What fragrance are you wearing right now?

Forever Sunshine <3 Summer in a bottle!

Do you use home/car fragrance, and if so, what products?

Absolutely! I love the wall flowers and currently have Espresso Bar in my bedroom. I also have Apple Crumble scent portable in my car.

What are your favorite home/car fragrance scents?

In wall flowers and car portables my favorites are: Apple Crumble, Marshmallow Fireside, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, and Cranberry Woods.

I also like scents that smell like men since I am a single dog lady.

(Note from Eva: me too).

Have you tried any home fragrance products that you didn't like, and if so, which ones and why?

I can't think of any right now, but I will let you guys know later if I do come across one.

Are there any home fragrance products you'd like to try?

Maybe candles, but considering I'm a pyrophobe that is highly unlikely to ever happen lol.

Bonus: Did you shop the Semi-Annual Sale? And if you did, what did you get?

Of course silly! Three Lemon Vanilla lotions (highly disappointed they didn't have any other product in this scent), Country Apple (in everything), which I'm not gaga over, and Cotton Blossom shower gel. I wasn't crazy about a lot of the scents they brought back. I would have liked to see Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, but it wasn't available at my local BBW.

I hope you enjoyed reading and hopefully you guys have similar taste!

- Lindz

Upcoming Collection Info: Fall Traditions - Fall 2013

Alright, another post! I have some info on the Fall Traditions line, which is (supposedly) going to be out August 19th. These four scents are going to come in body lotion, shower gel, fine fragrance mist, travel size lotion, travel size fine fragrance mist, triple moisture body cream, gold sugar body scrub, and whipped shimmer body cream (in Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin only):

Napa Autumn Blackberry: Napa Blackberry, Juicy Mandarine, Honeysuckle, Raspberry, Cocoa

Aspen Caramel Woods: Juicy Plum, White Aspen Woods, Whipped Caramel, Bourbon Vanilla, Jasmine Blossom

Vermont Honey Apple: Crisp Vemront Apple, Golden Honey, Creamy Peony, Sparkling Pear, Tonka Bean

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin: New England Pumpkin, Crisp Apple, Ginger, Spiced Vanilla, Hint of Rum

So what do you think? I've tried Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin before and it's nice, but not for me. However, those other three scents seem to be calling my name! I'm a total fall girl, so I'm excited to see how these will turn out...

Until next post,

Eva.

Introducing Eva!

What's up, y'all! Eva here, bringing you a little background on who I am as a fragrance lover so you get a better idea of if your taste is similar to mine!

What is your favorite type of fragrance?

Fruity and/or fresh. Anything with apple or pear and I'm all about it.

What type of fragrances do you dislike?

Floral! Too much and I get a headache.

What is your favorite current BBW signature fragrance?

I loooooooove Warm Vanilla Sugar and Beautiful Day. They're both tied, but I'm not sure if BD is going to become permanent or not...

What is your favorite limited edition or discontinued BBW fragrance?

Wild Apple Daffodil from the Wild Garden Collection 2012. They brought back EVERY SCENT THIS YEAR but not my beloved WAD. Booooo! (Sidebar: An employee told me that BD is just WAD renamed, but I beg to differ. I don't know if it's because all fragrances change over time, but even at that I think they're very different).

What is your favorite BBW signature body product?

The Fine Fragrance Mists and Body Scrubs!

What is your least favorite BBW signature fragrance?

I really am not a fan of Moonlight Path or Sweet Pea. The worst thus far was Rome Honeysuckle Amore from the Italy Collection. Too floral! I can handle Japanese Cherry Blossom, though I don't wear it myself.

What is your least favorite BBW signature body product?

Glitter mists. Or anything with glitter. I am twenty one years old. Glitter is not called for.

Are there any BBW products/fragrances you haven't tried but want to, and if so, which ones?

Not so much fragrances, because I've tried them all. But I haven't had an eau de toilette (EDT aka perfume) in a few years, so I'd like to try that in Beautiful Day...

Any scents you used to love but now dislike?

I used to wear Moonlight Path in high school strangely enough, but now it just makes me sneeze.

Any scents you used to dislike but now love?

I didn't like Forever Sunshine or Sensual Amber when they first came out but I really like them now - on other people though. I won't wear them myself because they read funny (not full on putrid, but just not as lovely as they smell in the bottle) but when Lindsay wears either they smell great!

Is there a BBW fragrance you wish you could wear, but can't because it mixes with your body chemistry wrong?

It's hard for me to convince myself that a scent smells disastrous, but there was one. It isn't a BBW scents. It's from Victoria's Secret and it's called Sky Bright - mainly apple and poppy. Usually anything with apple is wonderful on me but this just straight up STANK.

If you could have BBW bring back one fragrance and make it permanent, what would it be?

Wild Apple Daffodil from the Wild Garden Collection 2012 or Sweet on Paris from the Paris Collection 2012.

What has been your favorite BBW collection recently?

Last year and this year (though I'm still bitter at WAD's absence), I loved the Wild Garden collections.

Has there been a BBW collection recently that disappointed you?

The Sweethearts collection. I kind of liked Berry Flirt, but the other two scents just didn't excite me.

What fragrance are you wearing right now?

Country Apple! - which is available at the Semi Annual Sale right now!

Do you use home/car fragrance, and if so, what products?

Candles! I LOVE the candles. I use the 3-wick 14.5 oz. candles. I also use the Car Portables. I currently have one that looks like a flamingo (festive!) that I've named Ringo. Ringo the Flamingo is currently wearing Vanilla Cupcake.

What are your favorite home/car fragrance scents?

In the candles, my all time favorite is Marshmallow Fireside / Summertime S'mores; I am convinced they're the same scent but renamed for the season. In the Car Portables, I loved Wild Apple and Apple Crumble when they were in season.

Have you tried any home fragrance products that you didn't like, and if so, which ones and why?

I didn't love the oils when I had them. I had a Scent  Bug - it's one of those things where you pull out the tray and put a few drops of fragrance oil in, then push the tray back in over this little fan that whirrs and is supposed to distribute the fragrance through the room. Not super effective for me, though I hear people with small rooms love it.

Are there any home fragrance products you'd like to try?

I'd like to try the Plug-In's, but I'm pretty happy with my candles so I think for now I'll stick to those.

Bonus: Did you shop the Semi-Annual Sale? And if you did, what did you get?

Candles! Surprised? Neither am I. I also grabbed two scrubs from the Italy collection in Capri Seaside Citrus and Venice Dolce Berry, and the body mist, lotion and shower gel in Country Apple.

Well that's it for now, everyone. Hopefully this gave you a good idea as to what I'm all about. Lindsay will be on soon to post her little questionnaire!

- Eva

Hey there!

If you're reading this, then you are viewing the inaugural post on WeLoveBathAndBodyWorks! My name's Eva and I'll be your host for this evening...

Just kidding. Well, sort of.

It is me, Evamarie, but more on me later.

This blog is dedicated to - as you probably guessed from the title - Bath & Body Works and all it's wonderful products. Lindsay and I are massive fans (of course) and played around with the idea of joining the YouTube community because there seems to be a lack of BBW dedicated things. However, I am not photogenic and would most likely come across extremely awkward on camera. So here I am, typing away...

Anyway, the point of this blog is going to be pretty straightforward - Lindsay and I will both blog, writing reviews, updating you guys on product information as we can, and maybe posting some hauls! We hope you enjoy; we're new to the blogging world (aside from Tumblr...but hey).

- Eva.
